Got my tickets from the over email now, they helpfully list the face value of £45 so I can see how much they are mugging me off for the £149 I paid. It also says ST holder, so they must have a load of STs officially from the club with permission to sell on for above face. Still, at least I'm going to the game now

Its all about profiteering and greed.
They could of done it on loyalty points through games attended and this would rule out any sales to outsiders or touts (at least in the first instance)
It would not surprise me if some of these are being purchased by touts at £159 confident of selling them on at £200 on the night.
It was a long long time ago now but I remember queuing from the station down to the ticket office early one Sunday morning for tickets for the fa cup semi against Everton in 1991
We were stuck in that queue for hours but elated when we finally got them.
For the semi we had to send our ticket stubbs in to go in the ballot.
Like i say a very different era.

Im not sure about them only getting a handful of tickets as it will still allow you to purchase up to 8 tickets and I should imagine business has been brisk in the last few days.
I would suggest that this mob have picked up the excess seats that would normally of gone on general sale for the likes of me to purchase.
What couod possibly go wrong?

When we have a 'sell out' game v burnley or the likes and ticket trader comes into play, there are usually a ton of seats at the back of the West Stand for sale, I reckon these are the P1 ones
Still it's legal somehow ?!

It was only the hospitality packages being advertised earlier so maybe they have acquired more tickets or reaching the maximum nos for the lounge.
I would like to know just how many they do have to sell and what the split profitwise is between P1 and the club.

P1 are the Club's official travel partner - they have links on the OS, so they're very legit! They have a handful of tickets for every game.
